OOTD (featuring the Savon au Fleur de Lys Tee)

After a stormy Saturday we woke up to a gorgeous sunny Sunday here in NY. My husband left yesterday evening for a 10-day business trip in Brazil and ... Las Vegas (I know, I know, but he swears that it's for work) and I just hate being alone on Sundays. Well, now that my daughter can talk (and she talks A LOT!) I feel less alone but I still find Sundays particularly difficult to go through without DH around.

Anyway, we went outside this morning and I wore my new Savon au Fleur de Lys tee again. So this time I took pics in case any of you is still wondering which tee I was talking about in my previous post, as this one didn't make the blog rounds and was carried by few stores or sold out quickly (plus I like the outfit).
Here is the tee:

And the outfit with Gap jeans and JCrew varsity cardigan:

I could go outside without wearing a jacket or a coat. I just added my new Jcrew ruffled merino scarf (not sure about the name). I love it because when wrapped completely around the neck it looks like a beautiful collar, kind of the scarf version of the statement necklace:

Here it is with the ends untied:

The fact that my husband is travelling means that I have a lot more time to blog (you keep me company), so I plan to write a post a day, stay tuned!
And thanks God tonight it's Mad Men night, the perfect antidote to Sunday blues.

  3. i didn't get this tee, because I had the shoe tee from last year. Now I regret not getting it before it sold out. It looks great on you. Love the outfit and your new scarf. I think i might watch Madmen tonight. I keep hearing so many wonderful reviews about the show. I am with you in spirit and look forward to all your wonderful posts over the next few days.

  4. OMG I know how you feel exactly, my husband is often working long hours on the weekends (lawyer, nuff said) so to look forward to MadMen after a day of the kids: I get it!
Love the outfit, that scarf is so pretty, but not online I guess?

I was home alone this weekend with my very talkative two year old boy, while my hubby was working------so we went to Target!!

  7. HeidiG, thank you for the solidarity.
I have only seen this scarf at the Collection store so far but I guess that the other stores will receive sooner or later. I was really undecided about the color (it comes also in black and ivory) but the ruffles show up more nicely in the grey. I might get the black too though!

casual-crew, thanks! I have worn the cardi many times already and it hasn't piled yet (but I'm not hysterically worried about piling in general, a $5 wool razor can take care of it).

Patina, thank you so much. I think that the visual effect of this tee is very similar to your shoe tee, so wouldn't regret it much.
If you want to jump on the Madmen wagon, I would get the first two seasons in DVD or you will be disappointed and probably bored before the end of the episode, it's not exactly exciting and very slow-paced.
I have to say that the first time that I watched it (season 1) I didn't get much into it but it grew on me (season 2 was better than season 1 IMO).

DaniBP, yeah I guess that you know what it is...
Yes, the scarf is store-only for the time being.

MMM, yay for you, I love these two together. And thanks for the nice words.

mrs.anketell, I normally fight the Sunday blues with a little shopping outing as well but I was pretty tired today and my daughter managed to hurt herself while we were at the playground, so we stayed home for the rest of the day.
I have actually worn this tee with the whirling ruffle cardigan and skinny jeans the first time, great minds think alike ;-)

  10. Love the scarf two ways! :) I have outlet versions in a similar color, plum and black that I keep forgetting to wear.

And thank you again for helping me find the tee! :)
